Just 3 exams, or 3 whole A Levels - as in 3 lots of 2 years' worth of exams?

If the latter, then no. I've been quoted upwards of £60 for just one exam before. You might be able to find funding if you can't afford it though?

If it's just 3 exams then screw that - that's ridiculous. Try to shop around if you can.

That's a pretty reasonable price for 3 full A levels. The actual fee the exam board charges is £75-£100 per A level. The centre then needs to charge for their expertise, admin, invigilation, a room etc.

I think its pretty good. Read what compost points out there are 2 parts. the exam fee and then the centre fee.
I wouldnt travel two hours though and would look closer to home.

£630 for A levels which will mould your life and career???

After you graduate, you'll have about 40-50 years of being in a job .......

So wouldnt you want those 50 years spent in a good job????

A good job reached after getting great A levels.

I believe you have the wrong end of the stick and the OP was asking about the £ price compared to other centres and not about the merits of doing resits.

This is ridiculously expensive. Phone the exam board(s) with the entry codes and ask them how much their entry fee is. Then phone the centre and ask them why you’re being charged x amount when the exam board entry fee is y amount.

For just the exam that seems kinda pricey, but honestly not that bad when it is for 3 whole A-Levels. Online A-Levels cost about £350 each, so its not a bad price

Would you expect a shop to charge you exactly the price they bought goods from a wholesaler? If so, how do you think the shop would pay its workers, the rent, the rates, the utility bills, insurance etc. The mark up seems pretty reasonable to me.

It’s not a shop. The exam board charges something like £30-50 for each entry. This covers their expenses and overheads. The centre pays for the exam space, doing the Admin for the entry etc. It’s a non profit operation and the fact the OP lives in London is not relevant in this case.

A good idea to explain your financial situation to the exam office at the centre and see if you can access some financial help.

I plan on resitting Biology A Level and I have to pay below £60 for a resit. That is too much for a resit.
