As I am sure many are aware there is a "dirty dossier" of sexual deviancy by Tory MPs, including current and former cabinet ministers but it seems to be turning into a bit of a non story quite quickly with many of stories already being in the public domain, and including MPs who are in publicly known relationships. Included on the list are:

Stephen Crab, former minister- Sending suggestive texts, including those which lead to his resignation last year

Amber Rudd- Home Secretary- for having a relationship with Kwasi Kwarteng MP, both are single and neither denies they are dating

Jake Berry, junior minister- for "impregnating Alice Robinson", BoJo's office manager, they are a couple who live together and featured in the local newspaper when they had their son

Justin Tomlinson MP- for dating his researcher, he has never denied it

Mark Menzies, former ministerial aide- resigned in 2014 over claims he paid a male escort for sex

Steve Double MP- allegedly had an affair with a married researcher. admitted he had behaved inappropriately last year

Robert Halfon MP- admitted to an affair in 2015

Grant Schapps, former party co-chairman- alleged to have had an affair, claims it's a smear, frankly the least of his worries even if true.

Michael Fallon, SoS Defence- put his hand on the knee of Julia Hartley-Brewer, apologised at the time, they remain friends and she says she does not regard it as "anything other but mildly amusing" with both considering the matter closed.

While there certainly are going to be serious allegations, on both sides of the commons chamber so far it is looking like a non story designed to get Labour's dirty laundry out such as Bex Bailey's claim to have been raped by a senior Labour figure with no support from the party including being told to keep quiet, she also claims to have had great difficulty in her attempts to improve the situation for victims of abuse within the party since joining the NEC.

In terms of the scandal as a whole, the "dirty dossier" is really nothing more than the media trying to give the scandal a name. Doesn't mean the scandal is going to go away given that there seems to be more serious allegations being thrown around particularly on the tory side of things. The fact that david cameron tried to stop it but it got blocked by tories is certainly suggestive.

It's only a matter of time. Calling something a non-story at such early stages of development is just idiotic.

So many logical inaccuracies here, and having pepe Trump as your Dp isn't sensible for a budding intellectual as yourself. Come on man, fix up.

As I said, there certainly will be serious cases, there are serious allegations on both sides and the SNP is investigating two members, but so far is has been a non story because they're peddling old news and non news (unless you want to explain how Rudd and Kwarteng going on dates that have never been denied is a major news story).

Care to elaborate, care to explain how any of the thus far known cases are major news stories, and I'm not talking about things that were major stories years ago.

Then you haven't been paying attention to the news then.

I wouldn't know as I don't keep up with the news, as it serves as a huge distraction to acting in the present, what's the point of absorbing transient rubbish which won't even be relevant later, and don't get me started on media bias, poorly written headlines and the pure irrelevance/trash online.
I believe your judgement on this issue, but the way you talk online is not indicative of a smart person, the Dp seals the deal (Unless you are being lazy and the picture is ironic shitposting lols)

This story does seem pretty pointless to be honest. Why pull focus onto politicians' private antics when there's plenty of sleazy, unethical dealings going on just in their day jobs? Why can't the media report on something of substance instead? It doesn't sound like any of the people involved have actually done anything strictly illegal, so why bother with such irrelevant trivia? :erm:

In the context of two days ago, or even today, enlighten me, what grave transgressions have occurred and been published because so far we've had allegations of inappropriate conducting without evidence against a series of MPs, this inappropriate conduct including having the audacity to get your long term partner pregnant. We've had it come out that it was Michael Fallon who put their hand on Julia Hartley-Brewers knee, removing it when asked to and apologising and consequently "resigning" so May's chosen successor could be put into the cabinet, with further claims being made against him which fall into the category of "two consenting adults". There is an internal investigation surrounding Damian Green (who hasn't been asked to resign despite being the second most senior member of the government) for touching somebody and sending suggestive texts. Bex Bailey has claimed she was raped by a senior Labour figure in 2011 and told to keep quiet with an internal investigation finally starting now she has gone public.

    What have I missed?
