    Sorry Imam Abu Hanifah.(Hanafi).
Ah, not unexpected for someone from Gujarat. I must say then that your views on TV seem quite strict for someone who identifies with the Hanafi school.

While I'm quite sure there are some programmes on TV which it would be haram to watch, I don't see that as something which would justify a general prohibition as you do have some control over what you watch. Anyway, that's perhaps a discussion for another time and I appreciate I've made this thread rather more serious than it was intended!

Yes thats correct. TV resembles Shaytaan so to have a TV in ones household is like having Shaytaan in the house It brings nothing but corruption.

Well that's the thing isn't it - an imam who is reputable to one person is perhaps not so reputable to another. And some books say different things to others.

Jeans are not haram- but they shouldnt be very skinny or have any holes above the knee.
Music is haram. It attracts the shaytan, so try listening to quran.

The Quran doesn't say TV isn't allowed.

What if it's a morbidly obese woman wearing tight clothing, will that be revealing her "beauty"?
