How do you calculate displacement?

I've been given a graph and asked to calculate the 'displacement', but I don't know what this means or how to calculate it at all.
You work out the area beneath the graph by splitting this area into shapes you know how to find the area of ie. Rectangles and triangles. This is because displacement = velocity multiplied by time , which would give you the area under the graph
