Has anyone ever gotten onto a course without a subject labelled as "essential" in the entry requirements? is that possible?

I don't know about stuff labeled 'essential' but I've been looking at some PPE courses that story
strongly suggest taking maths and I know that people have got onto them without it. You're probably best of asking the uni to be honest

It totally depends on the particular course. It also depends on whether the subject is widely available at A level. So, for example, you can get on some good economics course without specific A levels because many schools don’t offer economics at A level. You are unlikely to find a chemistry course not requiring chemistry.
