In Uni, need a job that'll be flexible enough for my hours. I work at Asda currently which has been great for hours, but I despise the place. However, pay is really good.
I applied to Deliveroo as it was advertised at £12 p/hour and able to work my own hours, meaning it's more than perfect for my uni schedule.
Could anybody who has worked there or knows somebody who does work there, or maybe even work there themselves tell me what it's like? Do I get to keep tips? Can I choose my own hours? Do I have to pay my own tax?
I'm on a motorbike but their insurance company couldn't insure me (Zego) since I'm on a 650cc. Going to buy a 125 and use that.
What's an avg. monthly income?

Hi mate, £12 p/hour is realistic if you're on a motorbike, you just want to make sure you choose the busy shifts (Weekends and evening). It's a pretty easy job once you learn where all the restaurants are and everyone's super chilled and friendly .Not sure if it's the same where you live but I'm allowed to choose whichever shifts I want each week. You do have to file a tax return since you're technically self-employed but you won't pay any unless your earning over £11,500 a year. You get to keep all your tips and monthly income depends on how many hours you work. The downsides are that since you're self employed you wont get sick pay and they won't cover you if you get your bike stolen so insurance is a good idea.
If you decide to go for it you can get an extra £50 after your first 20 orders if you use my referral code: HU17306Last edited by Zedlock; 11-11-2017 at 02:36.
