I work in a supermarket and today a lady came in and sat her toddler on the end of the checkout. Once she had left, the lady behind her was very rude and patronising and told em off for letting the child sit there. I have only been working there a month and as we disinfect the tills so they stay clean throughout the day, I didn’t think it was a massive deal. Obviously I would prefer children to stand on the floor but I feel that it would have been very rude of me to tell her to put her child on the floor. Thoughts?

I think its fine like you said you clean them whats the problem the lady did that probably so she could see her child whilst she packed her kid could have ran away whilst she was busy packing
