I went to gp as my right hand was irritating ...he gave me very strong steroid cream and says I should use it with whitt softt paraffin as nothing else on the market works for ecezma..I don't want to use it as this thins skin...showed him I use La Roche Posey he says it rubbish ...Ive used diprobase but nothing seems to work...should I try using gloves and la Roche Posey to see what happens not sure what to do...can you recommend something for my hands that will do the trick???? That's white soft parifin based and no alcohol or perfume or paraben etc and natural

Steroid creams can thin the skin, they don't always. What steroid was it? Betnovate? Dermovate? Eumovate? Elocon?
For eczema you do really need that steroid agent to calm down the inflammation. Other things that can be used are protopic and elidel but they're usually not the first choice.

There is something on the market called Dermalex Eczema, its steroid free. To my knowledge it isn't available on the NHS but its not expensive, its about £12-14.
