What would you say is the (non student) best bank account? In terms of getting interest, without paying for the account?

I really don't understand bank accounts that charge you for more premium accounts that give you interest. You're basically paying the account fees with the interest (if you even get enough interest!).

Flexclusive from Nationwide gives 5% but only for 12 months and a small max. deposit of 250 GBP a month. You need to have a current account with them, though.

I think Santander have something similar as well, but again, with small deposit limits meaning most of your cash will be sitting in accounts that have *****y interest rates.

I think you're probably after a savings account, rather than a current account?
