So I’m starting to think about potential unis and the courses they offer, etc. However one of the big factors that I need to consider is the finance situation. Which unis in the UK offer the best scholarship options?

Are you a UK student? Does your family have a low income and what are you planning to study?

This is often course-dependent. What course are you thinking about?

It really depends on your own particular circumstances as unis offer scholarships for different reasons - academic merit, course related, personal background, financial need, sports, music etc. Loads of different reasons.

Best thing to do is look at the courses you are interested in and then compare what you might able to get in scholarships from each uni.

There are also lots of scholarships which are open to all students at any uni, so don't make your choices just based on what the uni offers.

I am a UK student - family income is low, but not low enough for most bursaries. I’m looking at Sociology courses.

I think your best chance is to look at grade based bursaries
