I am trying to get experience in a bank to experience what it is like and to get my foot in the door.

Should I approach local branches individually or do I have to apply to these schemes?

A productive answer to the question or a redirection would have sufficed, rather than a pompous and highly useless comment.

Have done that. Resources lacked. I also think research entails asking from those who might have experience. Is there nothing wrong with that? To be quite frank, this thread is part of my research. Your welcome.

perhaps try the finance subforum, this isn't the place for the job area you might be thinking of with the branches
