Statement:"Any global agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions made without China would be pointless."
Could you provide me a list of ideas for and against the statement.

China is a world superpower responsible for the most emissions of any one country. However, as a proportion of all emissions globally, China plays a much smaller part. Think about whether China not agreeing to take part would influence other countries likelihood to also abstain (*cough* Trump *cough*). Think about the future of China’s economy - they currently dominate the secondary employment sector but as other countries and themselves develop this will probably no longer be the case. China invest the most out of any country in renewable energy development, therefore they would still be playing a role in tackling climate change. Interesting debate
