# A pirate and his parrot watch

1. I'm having trouble with this question pls help.

A pirate walks into a shop with £86.He buys a parrot,a hook and an eye patch. The eye patch costs £8 less the the hook and the parrot costs £10 more then the hook.Solve this question with an equation . Hook=h

btw he uses all the money and sorry bout my spelling pls help
2. If h is the cost of the hook then the cost of the other two items are h - 8 and h + 10, what is the cost of all three items together? Do you know what that is equal to?

Can you solve a linear equation?
3. And then just trial and error really I suppose... (after you have to equation the poster above stated)
