Recently been looking for part time jobs that show more course/career related skills that the usual retail assistant or hospitality work.

Studying towards a business degree so I'd love something entrepreneurial in sales or accounts - a bit of freedom to represent a small business or brand with a simple product to get that ownership feeling without the risk of going it alone! Does this job even exist!?

So what does your ideal part time job look like? And don't say getting paid to taste test beer!

Probably not. Most students will do as their told or be given a specific project to work on which they can take ownership of but it's unlikely that they will get to choose exactly what they do. If they work well and impress they may be trusted more but it's about proving yourself to your manager. My best advice would be to look for something where you can learn and grow irrespective of field at this stage, talk to people and network.
