I am in AP Chemistry this year at high school. I have never done good on the tests. I almost always got an F on them. I studied beyond for the one I had today and I got a D on it. I feel like the biggest failure this world has ever seen. I get yelled at for not trying hard enough and not studying and not practicing but I do. I try my hardest, I do study a lot and I do practice but I still can't get a good grade on the tests. I don't want to drop the class for next trimester. I go to the teacher for help. If they don't help or I can't ask them, I will look up videos on how to do stuff and that helps me but it just seems like everything I do is never enough. I need advice on what I should do.

    Do lots of practice questions.

Focus on the fundamentals of chemistry, as this will give you a foundation for the more advanced topics.

Fundamentala that you should establish your understanding of:
    Atomic structure
General layout of the periidic table (focus on the top 3 or 4 periods)
    Balancing formulae and equations
The mole, and how to use the mole
    Ideal gas law
    Basics of enthalpy
