    Just to set the scene ;
    I met this guy when I was in a bar with my friend - he came up to talk to us with his friends, anyway he messaged me that night, and we've talked on social media ever since. We have mutual friends at uni, but some of my friends keep trying to put me off him and I don't know why. None of them know the guy personally and I think they're judging him on social stereotypes.
    I'm 20, he's 23. They say how he's "one of the sports guys" and even say stuff about him having a man bun :curious: I've always dismissed these comments because I like to get to know people - whether they end up being like people speculate or not.

    However, he's asked me to go out with him to a bar again - for drinks etc. But with all this hovering at the back of my mind, I'm worried all these comments from my friends are making me more nervous for tonight. He's already a confident guy, which I'm attracted to, and I'm much more reserved, but we seem to get on really well so far. I am slightly worried he will try to make a move though (assuming it goes well) and I am the sort who would rather wait longer for things like that.
    I'll go out with him this evening, but I suppose I'd like a heads up, because I need to go tonight in a better frame of mind than I am now ! :lol::lovehug:

    Just focus on being with him and getting to know him. Your friends have no evidence that he's not a good guy, they're just assuming things based on no real reason. Even if he tries to make a move, you can stop him. If he's a good guy he will respect that and still want to see you until you are ready to move forward.
