An ex is an ex. I don't know why he is still asking you for money, especially as he is married to someone else now. You are not responsible for him anymore the moment he left your life. I know you have feelings, but this arrangement is not healthy for you. Stop helping him and cut off contact with him, he is just using you for money. You deserve your own happiness and to spend money for yourself and your true friends.

He is married, why is he trying to get money from you? Does his wife even know about this?

Explain to him you aren't together anymore and this needs to stop. Stop giving him money. As someone else said maybe even stop seeing him.

What is he to you now?

What do you get in return? His friendship? To know he's ok? Which isn't your responsibility!
