    Go to the 'undergraduate law' section of the universities you're interested in. They may have some recommended reading for you. If they do, pick at least one that introduces you to legal thinking/macro-level issues within legal academia, and another that touches upon a more specific area of law (e.g. human rights law, intellectual property, etc).

    Jasaron has helpfully linked the two most commonly referred to lists, but there are more if you're interested in looking for them.
