OCR History Coursework - help with questions watch

    • Thread Starter

    Hey all!

So I'm doing OCR History A-Level, and we're just starting about writing our questions to answer. I'm doing the Northern Ireland Conflict for my coursework, and I was wondering if anyone else was?
Also, I'm thinking of these questions for my coursework, but I'm not sure if they're the right kind of questions to be asking, or even if they're good enough. Can anybody who is doing / has done the A-Level give me any advice on the questions? I've got one that's not on Ireland, just so that I can keep my options open until I finalise my question.

'"The primary cause for the Easter Rising in 1916 was the suppression of Catholics and Irish peoples" How far do you agree?'

'Assess the view that the IRA was an unjustified, wanton terrorist organisation from 1917 until 1998.'

'Assess the view that Winston Churchill was a failed politician."

For reference, I'm trying to aim for an A* in my History A-Level.
