I am n a tier 4 student visa and have been asked by workplace to work exceeding my restricted hours with word of mouth that the company will pay me in bulk once I am allowed to work full time. All this solely happened and was discussed as the company was struggling with manpower crisis. I reminded them of my restricted hours but was frequently reassured that they will arrange things accordingly to not get into trouble. However, now the new management has reported my hours to the Home Office for investigation.
I would like to know what are my rights in this situation as I have been misused to exceed my hours? Should the company provide me a lawyer in terms of investigation? What is the investigation like?
Would appreciate any advice on how I can proof my stand.
