    perhaps you could try going deep within yourself and find out the root of your unhappiness/frustrations.
    people aren't just unhappy and emotionally unstable for no reason....there usually are reasons....
    and all of those things you mentioned you use as distractions (being reckless, drinking, self-haming, overspending etc).....those are very unhealthy ways to cope with stress.....they don't help you in the long run. they won't help you get to the bottom of what really may be going on inside of you....
