I am doing 4 at sixth form and am aspiring to do Physics, However, due to me being the only person doing Further maths A-level in my year I am classed as an external student and therefore am not formally registered so therefore i had to pick Geography in order to get funding from the government as I would have three subjects in sixth form. Is it possible for me to only study 2 subjects at sixth form as well as the external one which i am getting help for. I understand doing 4 would look impressive however due to theses courses being linear the workload is huge and it won't help in my future and could potentially damage my other grades.

You are going to have to ask your school whether they will let you drop one or not.
maybe you could do one to AS level and then leave it there?
