I've got them every winter since I was 15! You can have my sympathy. I got cashmere socks from father Christmas and they make it so much better.

Lol i think the chilblain society would be a great one full of lovely and sympathetic people  glad its not just me afflicted with an old person's disease

I've got what i thought were chilblains, and i suffer from them every winter but they usually go within a couple of weeks. This year, though, ive had them since november and my toes have trebled in size. so i went to the pharmacist and she said that they did not look like chilblains. Since then my toes turn blue now and again. I think i'll probably end up going to the doctors. lol

I think I've got them on my heels, never had them until this winter but I know my brother has always had them. They itch and feel sore and it's difficult to wear nice shoes because they rub on my heels so much, it's horrible! I sympathise!

I too am a long term suffer of the blight that is chilblains. My bro and I used to sing songs about 'Nobody know how cold my toes are...' aah good times. Tiger Balm, which you can procure from an Indian shop, works wonders. As does Snowfire, which I think you can buy from Boots.

I used to get chilblains every year from about October to April, they were awful! I went to a private dermatologist a few years ago and she diagnosed me with Raynaud's disease (bad circulation). I now take nifedipine (to lower blood pressure) from Oct to April and I've never had them since!
