1. Hello, so last year I took my maths gcse and I did the question in which I had to list the outcome and I got 0 marks on this question but now that I re-did it I do not understand ( as I did the same answer as below) how I have got this wrong?

I got David - Rhyl Jane - Porthcawl Mary - Harlech
David Porthcawl Jane - harlech Mary - Rhyl

There should be 6 ways. I'm not familiar with the maths syllabus for gcse now, so I'm not sure if you need to know this but essentially, you're arranging 3 items and there are 3 x 2 x 1 = 6 ways to do it.

Anyway you have missed out a few, if david was fixed to Rhyl, then another way you could do it is by swapping jane and mary, so

David - Rhyl
Jane - Harlech
Mary - Portcrawl

Which is unique, try using this method on the other two (fixing one beach to say david and then swapping the other two).
3. Thank you! I found the answer on the mark scheme it was you had to list all the possible outcomes of them all working at different times
