    Thank you, by any chance could you tell me how I can tell if to subtract or add a simultaneous equation?

    Your main Objective is to eliminate a variable.

    lets look at an example

    2x+3y=13
    -2x+4y=8

    it would be most easy to eliminate 2x here. To eliminate it we must make it ZERO

    We must Add 2x to -2x to make it a ZERO.
