1. bag contains only red, orange, yellow and white counters.
a counter is picked at random from the bag.
the probability of it being red is 0.36
the probability of it being orange is 4 times the probability of it being white.
the probability of it being yellow is 3 times the probability of it being white.
given that there are 18 yellow counters in the bag work out how many red counters are in the bag

help ive been stuck for ages
2. This is a massive guess so don't hold me against it if it's v wrong lmao:
0.36 + 4w + 3w + w= 1 (all probabilities have to equal 1)
0.36 + 8w= 1
8w= 0.64
w= 0.08

therefore:
r= 0.36 0=0.32 y=0.24 w=0.08
to get from (y) 0.25 to 18 we x75
so, to get the amount of red counters= 0.36 x 75= 27.

**THIS IS A GUESS LMFAO DON'T RELY ON THIS UNLESS YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO**
