So for an audition I have to perform a 2-3 min monologue from a published play. I really want to do a comedy piece but I'm struggling to find one! I'm a 17 year old girl for reference! Any suggestions would be so appreciated

I love doing Lady Markby from An Ideal Husband by Oscar Wilde (there’s a bit where she rambles about curates and things)
It’s hilarous when you do it well and I got a distinction doing it for my grade 8 and made my examiner laugh out loud! Any Oscar Wilde is good tbh
Alternatively, Julia from two gentlemen of Verona (with the letter) is quite a fun one to ham up a bit

Another 'Ideal Husband' one is Mabel Chiltern's 'Tommy' speech. It is hilarious - and probably more age-appropriate.
