    Hello,
I am international student and I have part time job in a warehouse. I dont have my family here and it is one of the most important things to go home for christmas (I already have flights and want to stay in my homecountry for 3 weeks) but I am afraid they will not want to let me not to work for that long, especially when its really busy there at that time.
Can I just tell them I quit before I go home (if they wont let me go)? Or could I have some serious problem because of that? Like court ot something
    Thank you very much !

You'll probably have a "notice period". For example, if this is 1 week, once you have told them you'd like to leave, you'll be expected to work your contracted hours for the next 1 week as normal, then you will leave. If you fail to work for your notice period, you won't get paid for this time, and you may have other issues like not getting paid for some of your work before this date. I doubt you'll be taken to court, but it's probably best to have a read of your contract. Hope you can make it home for Christmas

You would be able to quit but bear in mind they will probably then refuse you a reference
