Currently i am in year 10 and i'm **** at French, it's my worst subject, unfortunately, i am not able to drop it as it is good for uni and its need to get something called
Ebacc. I don't think that i can achieve a grade 9-7 ( maybe a 7 if a work my butt off). My question is, is EBacc that important and what grades should i be aiming for to get into a good uni like Obridge, UCL, Imperial etc.

Ebacc means nothing. Just aim for as many 8/9 s as possible for Oxbridge and then A* at a level.

The EBacc is genuinely pointless. I didn't get it (got a D in English Lit lmao) and it hasn't impacted me applying to uni in any way, I already have offers from Newcastle and Manchester for Physics. All it is is a measure of school performance. So your school telling you that you 'need' the Ebacc is more for their benefit than yours.

ebacc means literally nothing - persuade them to let you drop it, easier if you in involve you parents. you need to aim as high as possible if you're considering top universities
