    normally the people who get strong applications for medicine have 5-7+ A* grades
    the A* in chem and Maths puts you in a very strong place
    these will work in your favour when you apply to uni

    Maybe not for Birmingham. They ask for 7/8 A*S. They could look at your GCSEs for shortlisting in other unis like Oxbridge.

    It depends on the uni, as long as you don't pick a GCSE heavy uni (Cardiff, Birmingham) and you have good predicted grades and UKCAT/BMAT then you'll be absolutely fine
