So I'm going university next year and I'm stuck on whether to move into halls or just share a accommodation off campus with other students? What solutions would be the best based on how it will affect my first year?

Halls are probably the safest bet. You'll have more pastoral support available (or at least closer) if the accomm is university arranged, and you'll be pretty much guaranteed to be staying with first years who are eager to make friends.

    DEFINITELY HALLS.

Currently in halls, and having the time of my life. You meet so many new people it's unbelievable. Plus it's way more social. Really gives you chance to mingle with people who you might actually get long with better than people in a house you're stuck with for a year.

Unless you want a quieter environment then move into halls.
