What is the most appropriate attire for:
    - a pre-offer applicant day including a 1-2-1 interview
    - a post-offer applicant day with no interview

I am thinking full-on suit/shirt/tie may be too much, jeans and trainers too little, so maybe that awful term "smart casual" would be best.
    Anyone got any experience?

    Dress comfortably.

They know that you aren't going to go to lectures in a bowtie, they aren't going to be swayed by what you're wearing.

I agree that a full on suit is too much. Just wear a smart pair of trousers and a nice shirt if you have one? No tie
