Is bioengineeting worth pursuing?

Will courses in Bioengineering (or Biomedical engineering) be useful in any way after university?
Are there enough jobs in this field yet?

The first thing you need to realise is that having a degree in the field is not going to magically land you a job. People work their way into specific fields and then up in those fields. You may need further study as well. The other thing you need to realise is that most people don't end up working in exactly the field that their first degrees were in. You need to focus more on the transferable skills gained.
