    Hi there I did a course and fail yr one and then the repeat I'm applying for compelling circumstances as my mum has multiple sclerosis and I found it hard to leave her as I help her a lot because she struggles with every day takes and I worried she wasn't getting the help she needed .would this be a good enough reason for sfe

    Its a reason, but theres no guarantee they will accept it. Consider the following:

    They might find it more convincing if you state how it affected you and your studies.
    If you had any mental health issues.

    If your mums MS was demanding i.e she needs constant care.

    If you have any anxiety// depression that your GP can verify.
    A letter from her social worker might also help comment on the lack of care support.

    You have to make your case sound compelling.

    Ps its unclear uf you are applying to repeat the year for a second time i.e its year 3 or year 2?

    I.e
    Year 1- fail
    year 1 second attempt- repeat and fail
    Apply for year 1 again?


    If its the above then I would urge you to have a serious think about whats gone wrong and be sure you can cope before you return. You will start to run out of funding.
