I am currently on a gap year after achieving AAA grades at A-Level and am in the midst of writing my application to the University of Bristol. Their entry grades are AAA*, however, I have discovered that their contextual offer is AAB which I meet and exceed!

I live in a postcode area which has low progression to higher education which is one of the necessary factors to get the contextual offer. Is this something I need to state somewhere on my application or personal statement? How do I know if I am eligible for the contextual offer for certain?

I am wondering if anyone else has had a contextual offer based on their home address rather than the popular 'aspiring state school' factor, and how they got this?

    More info: http://www.bristol.ac.uk/study/under...extual-offers/

    Many Thanks!

As it says on the website:

We will determine whether you are eligible for a contextual offer when we receive your application, so you do not need to do anything differently.
So it's done automatically. Your address is submitted as part of the application.
