I really don’t like my apprenticeship I went into it because I don’t have anything else to do so it was a very like impulse decision just to do it
It’s in a doctors surgery and it’s business admin and I’ve been here for about a month I’ve have like 2 weeks off because I said I can’t deal with it literally I’m standing up 8 hours just photocopying
Don’t feel like it has any progression for me I’m not interested at all however I want to do something like events management but can’t find anything on it
    Someone give me advice

What did you expect a business admin apprenticeship to involve?

You could try asking events companies if they’d put you through a business apprenticeship or something similar

    Hi,

This is a shame that you don't enjoy your apprenticeship, however there is hope!

The good news is that there are events themed apprenticeships available if you search on Find an Apprenticeship you can see what live vacancies are near you.

Keep your options open and good luck applying!

The catch with events management companies is I expect they do not have that many permanent staff, this is from Unique Events website, which certainly implies this staffing approach,

"Unique Events has a small team of dedicated permanent staff and specialist freelancers who work year round to manage our portfolio of projects, with a loyal group of skilled independent freelance contractors who are taken on to deliver specific events."

    http://www.unique-events.co.uk/about/the-team/

You might find things easier aiming at more general hospitality positions/training and then move into events management from a broader knowledge/experience base..
