    Hello all,

Currently applying for the SSE Trainee Smart Meter Installer position which is available in my area. The job posting specifies a requirement of GCSE / NAT5 English and Mathematics. During high school I was not able to sit my Mathematics exam due to a family bereavement, I did however pass my English. In summary, I achieved NAT5 Mathematics Unit Passes (Studying and passing all units throughout year, just not sitting exam) and also achieved NAT5 Numeracy in-terms of mathematic qualifications.

I was wondering, do you think they would possibly waiver the requirement for NAT5 Mathematics given that I posses higher qualifications and also studied HNC after leaving high school? A close friend suggested that I maybe get in contact with them, tell them of this and indicate that I am very keen on the job etc.

    What do you all think?

Many thanks for all assistance given.
