English Shiritori!

So in Japan there's a game called Shiritori where you say a word and the next person has to say one whose first syllable matches the previous word's final syllable.
English example: tabLET -> LETter
The matching syllables don't have to be spelt the same way though, it just so happens that they are in my example. If they sound similar, it's fine!

Rules:
1. Words must have more than one syllable
2. No acronyms
3. Answers must be one word only! "LETting agent" (2 words) wouldn't be valid in the example
4. Don't reply to your own post
5. I might add more rules if I forgot something important so check back regularly!

I'll start:
LETTER
