So, I started uni 7 weeks ago but I still find it very difficult to keep up with my pre-readings, managing my time and just basically finding out what I should be doing.

I’m not sure if it’s actually related to the course that I’m studying (which I’ve never done before and is very text heavy) but I just find it exremely difficult to study like I used to before. It all just seems very vague and at some point I don’t understand what I’m doing this for. I read some of the readings but I find myself complety lost. Even though I finished reading it, I can’t recall special points.

Everyone in my course seems to be finding it pretty easy to keep up with everything and there’s me, completely lost.

It is very disappointing as I used to be very hard-working (if I can say so myself) during my sixth form but everything went downhill since I started uni.

Has anyone experienced/experiencing the same/similar thing that I’m experiencing right now? How do I overcome this?

Don't be too hard on yourself. University is very different in the sense that you pretty much direct yourself. There's no "syllabus" or "routine" to fall into as everyone takes their own direction in learning. If you're particularly concerned, do you have a personal tutor you can speak to? Also, maybe read your course handbooks to learn what sort of exams you'll have and what format they'll take. You can work around that if you need more structure.
