I recently have been getting pain along the tendon of my big toe on every impact when running. It means I have to stop running for a few days so it calms down, but I've been finding it's occurring more often and not just on longer runs. Reckon I need new trainers? or I just need to build up and work on my technique/strength? or am i just doomed to have some kind of tendonitis forever?

If new trainers, can anyone recommend good running trainers for a weak ankled, narrow, slight pronator/flat footed person?

Have you checked the tread of your trainers? If they look ok, I'd suggest having someone look at your feet; as you might have injured yourself.

As for recommendations - you're better off trying some pairs on. What works for me won't work for you.

I have flat feet and currently run in Adidas Boost. But I know some people say they feel weird.
