    Hi,
Last week I made the decision to take a 'break in studies' at the University I started in September, with the intention of basically deferring my place until next September. I completed the necessary forms and was told that once a decision had been made as to whether this 'break' has been approved, the University would contact SFE accordingly.
I just wanted to check that there was nothing else on my behalf that needed doing in terms of contacting SFE? I've recieved one payment but obviously will not need anymore for the upcoming accademic year. Will this need repaying immediately or will it just be carried on once I restart my course?
    Thanks

    Hi Lauren,

As you have left the course prior to term 2, the payment that you received from Student Finance for term 1 will result in you being paid too much for the time you we on the course.
Student Finance will contact you by letter at a later date to advise of the loan overpayment amount and to discuss repayment once we have been contacted by your university.

    Thanks

    Louise
