    Hello
Can anyone tell me if you drop out of uni in the middle of a term, how is the amount of loan you will be expected to pay back calculated - i.e. is the period of the loan the actual term time, or does it inlcude the holiday at the end of the term? Also do you have to pay back maintenance loan and tuition fees loans or just maintenance loan?? Thanks.

    Hi janebentley,

If you withdraw from your course, your university will advise us of the date that you withdrew and all future payments will stop.

As a continuing student, initially we assessed your entitlement for the full year.

Your entitlement will now be reassessed, on a pro rata basis, from the start of your course until the day that you withdrew.

If you have been overpaid, you will receive a letter, with a telephone number you can call, to make arrangements to pay this back.

The loan that you were entitled to, for the length of time that you attended the course, will not become repayable, until the April following your withdrawal and only then, once you are earning over the threshold.

    Thanks Rona
