How can you actually do a foundation year for, let's say dentistry? I know Liverpool uni does it, but how do you apply and what do you need in order to be in the course??

the deadline is the same as the medicine deadline, you'd apply through ucas as you would for dentistry, it depends what a levels you're doing whether you'd be eligible for a foundation year.

The deadline for Liverpool with foundation year is actually January. If you look on their website all the entry requirements are there. You need 5 B grade GCSEs including maths, English and a science. You should have relevant work experience and have been out of education for some time. They won’t accept you if you have biology or chemistry a levels. You apply through Ucas.

Depending on your circumstances their are a couple of other foundation years for dentistry. They tend to be aimed at people with AAA at A level but not in the required subjects. They also tend to have October 15th deadlines
