How to make a player fall for you?

I have a crush on a guy i work with and we are both single. He gives me special attention and we speak on social media and makes hints that he likes me, but he's constantly hot and cold with me. I know he's a player from the stories hes told me, so how do i change things so that he's pursuing me?

Why would you want to pursue somebody who is not that into you? The fact that he blows hot and cold is a red flag. Just avoid him and invest your efforts elsewhere.
He's just going to waste your time. Players are fun to play with but that's it.
The whole love story of 'making the player quit his game' often falls flat on its face in any situation other than Hollywood. If he's a 'player' then he's going to be giving a lot of other girls 'special attention' and going hot and cold and speaking on social media with them, too - food for thought.

But in order to get attention from someone, remember this line, 'we are attracted to that which retreats from us.'
