Hi everyone of 'The Student Room', new gal here. As you can probably tell I'm not applying for English at university (see bad grammar in first sentence) however loving being here and just wanting to hear your thoughts and comments on my academic life baso.

So anyway, last year I did A Level biology and chemistry and my AS levels in both maths and further maths and got A's in both of them so pretty chuffed; I sat C1, C2, S1, D1, M1 & FP1 and achieved 90+ in all of them so overall got 285 UMS for maths and 282 for further maths.

Second year of college and I'm still taking all 4 subjects from last year. This year for maths and further maths I'm sitting C3, C4, S2 and FP2, FP3, M2 respectively. Biology and chemistry is still proving to be an uphill battle especially since most of first year chemistry was spent playing irrevelant kahoots which all my class now regrets but I digress.

Targeted 4 A*s in these subjects and hoping I get the grades. Applying for biochemistry at Bristol, Nottingham, Loughborough, Keele and Cambridge (Gonville & Caius).

So just leave any thoughts or opinions you'd like or ask any questions and I'd be happy to answer!

Best piece of advice I've ever recieved is that self-discipline trumps motivation. Don't rely on that to work on your subjects, be self-disciplined and work the time blocks you allocate to study. Also be careful of those you spend time with, reading this you share a similar experience in regards to classroom antics. Be aware of when people are distracting you ensure you make time to do what you need to do. Finally, just enjoy the process, it'll make it even more worth it in the end.

    Hope this helps
