    Hi,
I recently withdrew from my studies and was told that the university would inform SFE of my decision. However it said this could take a few weeks, and I would be keen to know how much/ if any of my term one maintenance loan I would have to repay immediately.
Also, I am worried that it will take too long for the info to go through from the University to SFE, and I will accidentally be liable for 50% of my tuition fees rather than just 25%.
    Thanks

    Hi Katherine,
It is currently taking Student Finance 31 working days to process Change of Circumstances from universities and colleges. Once this has been processed we will update the correct Tuition fee amount and you will be contact by letter with regards to any loan overpayment amount that is due to be repaid.

    Thanks

Thank you, will I be entitled to keep the money correlating to the percentage of the first term i was there (maintenance loan)
In my case this would be £723 of the £1808 i was given for the first term as i was there for 42 days out of the 105 days between the first and (theoretical) second payments of maintenance loan. Is this correct? Thanks

    Hi Katherine,

Student Finance will calculate the amount that you are eligible to keep based on the date that your university have confirmed you withdrew.

    Thanks

    Louise
