I received my A level grades last summer and accepted an offer from my first choice to start uni after a gap year. Since I was not going to attend university until the year after I could not apply to any clearing opportunities. Can I apply through clearing next summer to another uni? Would that risk losing my place at my first choice?

Yes- but you'd have to decline your first choice.

Do you reckon it's worth taking the risk? My current offer is at Queen Mary, and I am interested in applying to KCL

I have got ABB - Currently offer holder for Politics and Business and QMUL, and I'm interested in applying for either Politics or Digital Media at Kings (both AAB). The only reason I'm considering it is that I know they put almost all their coursed on clearing - and I also have a couple of friends that got in with 2-3 grades off the requirements.

It's your own choice- I think that's risky without resetting anything

You would have to decline your deferred place.

But you'd be *much* better applying normally by the 15 Jan deadline (including re-appying to your current choice if you want to - they won't bear a grudge...). There's more choice and less panic.

If I was to withdraw my application and reapply now that I got my grades, would the uni I initially applied to give me an offer again? Or is that unlikely
