There is basically some team building exercises where we had to build a giraffe out of paper and tape - they kept introducing challenges to see how we adapted.
There was some case studies of problems people who have been on the programme had encountered and we had to suggest the best options of how to deal with the problems - some of these were not liking the programme, not having enough to do and someone who was gay saying they liked a team mate (Homosexuality being illegal in most of the countries the placements are)
Lastly there was a 1 on 1 interview which consisted of mainly scenario based questions where you had to give examples where you demonstrated teamwork, having to adapt and helping someone through a tough times - mainly based around the problems you may encounter or skills needed for the ICS programme
This was my assessment centre experience for ICS with the charity partner Challaneges Worldwide but bear in mind they differ from charity to charity. Overall it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. The whole day was very laid back and quite an enjoyable experience.
