The functions f and g are defined as f(x)=x(x-2) and g(x)=x+5. Given that f(a)=G(A) and a greater than 0. work out the value of a.

I know the answer but need support on how to get there, (the working out) someone help!!

All you need to do is solve . Get it?
3. If f(x) = x(x-2) and g(x)=x+5
That means
f(a)=a(a-2) and g(a)=a+5

Knowing that f(a) = g(a), can you use this to find the equation you need to solve?
