    Hi guys, I've decided to do a gap year next year after my A levels and I'm not sure whether to send my UCAS application off this year and get a deferred entry for uni or to just send one off next year so can add all of the experiences that I'm going to have gained because of my gap year. Can someone whos done a gap year help please!!

    Hey, I’m on my gap year now and have just applied to uni
    I would say you don’t have much more experience to add to a ucas application cos in the end you only apply a few months after leaving college, but it’s benefitted me in that I’ve had time to really think about the courses I wanted to apply to. Also knowing my results means I have had unconditional offers which is great and relieved a lot of stress. Unis give you a slight higher priority when you already have achieved grades. Also it means you don’t have to write your personal statement whilst revising for mocks etc so that’s a plus
